Day 1. Arrive Launceston, Beaconsfield, Welcome Drink and Canapés
Like a Local - make your way to the historic gold mining town of Beaconsfield where you’ll embark on a locally-guided tour of the Mine and Heritage Centre. A Taste of Tasmania - enjoy complimentary canapés and a Welcome Drink as you wander through the gallery at the Design Centre of Tasmania this evening. Then get to know your fellow travellers during a special Welcome Dinner.

Day 2. Bridestowe Lavender Farm, Freycinet National Park, East Coast Natureworld, Bicheno
Like a Local - at Bridestowe Lavender Farm, enjoy an exclusive tour of the distillery, then sample delicious lavender-enhanced fare. Continue through Weldborough Pass, home to some of the oldest myrtles in Australia. Stop at East Coast Natureworld and see wildlife, including the endangered Tasmanian Devil. Like a Local – enter the stunning Freycinet National Park where you are joined by a naturalist guide for a gentle and enlightening walk along the shores of Richardsons Beach. Arrive in the seaside town of Bicheno this evening.

Day 3. Ross, Richmond, Tasman Peninsula, Eaglehawk Neck, Port Arthur
Travel inland to Ross. See one of the oldest bridges in Australia during your stop at the Georgian village of Richmond where you’ll enjoy spending some free time to explore this quaint settlement. Continue to spectacular Eaglehawk Neck, famous for its rugged coastline and breathtaking vistas. See the Devils Kitchen, Tasman’s Arch and the Tessellated Pavement. Continue to the historic town of Port Arthur.

Day 4. Port Arthur Historic Site, Harbour Cruise, Hobart
Like a Local - step back in time with a visit to the Port Arthur Historic Site today. There is no better place to imagine how convict life would have been as you tour the ruins of Australia’s most infamous penal colony. Take a cruise around the Isle of the Dead, then travel to Hobart. A Taste of Tasmania – enjoy dinner tonight at the award-winning Customs House Restaurant.

Day 5. Hobart Sightseeing Tour, Salamanca Market
An orientation tour of Hobart will take you to the city’s highlights including Salamanca Place, Constitution Dock and the harbour. This afternoon is at your leisure, or perhaps join one of our optional full-day adventures to pristine Bruny Island, or A Day in the Wilderness air tour and scenic cruise.
